Glenrowan KYB
Glenrowan KYB (Know Your Bible) began in Glenrowan almost 30 years ago and has operated mostly in Glenrowan homes on a fortnightly basis during school terms, continually since its inaugural meeting.
In more recent years, meetings have more frequently been held in Wangandary than in Glenrowan, but still has a majority of members residing in Glenrowan which means some meetings are held in Glenrowan during the year. Wangandary is only a 20 minute drive from Glenrowan and the Glenrowan ladies usually share transport if they are heading to Wangandary.
Our group welcomes new members from Glenrowan, Wangandary and any points between. KYB is part of the work of CWCI (Christian Women Communicating International). It is an interdenominational study designed to help women through personal study and group sharing, to know God’s Word and its message for today. Many KYB groups meet all over Australia, and indeed, in many countries of the world. It is rare to meet anyone who has attended a KYB study group and not been blessed through the experience. KYB welcomes women from all denominations, ages and stages of Christian growth – new Christians through to mature Christians.
Our Glenrowan KYB meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evening of each month during school terms. We start at 7.30 pm and end the evening with a cuppa and chat, concluding our evening by 9.15 - 9.30pm.
Each year we do two study series (8 lessons each) – one focuses on a New Testament Book while the other is usually from the Old Testament. The study books contain questions which you do at home, getting the answers from your Bible readings, then we share our answers when we meet. The class leader gives a summary of each lesson and another summary is in the study book - so it is a 4 way learning exercise.
If you are seeking to learn more about God’s Word and its relevance to your everyday life, why not consider joining our group. We are a very friendly group and we welcome new members.
Why not come along, sit in and decide whether you like it, before you decide to join?
